--Coach Mike Woodson said he would indeed honor a bet he made with his team a year ago and shave his head for the playoffs. Initially the bet was that he'd either shave his head, get a tattoo or get an earring."I'm not high on earrings and I'm definitely not into tattoos," Woodson said. "So I told my brother I'm going to shave (the hair) off so I can look like him." Woodson said he'd shave his hair off sometime after practice Thursday and be ready for work Friday.
--The Hawks were back in the air Wednesday night before learning the dates of their playoff schedule. They're anticipating a Sunday afternoon start to the series with Boston, with Games 1 and 2 set for TD Banknorth Garden and Games 3 and 4 for Philips Arena sometime next week. At this point, though, Johnson said, the specifics don't really matter.
"If they tell us we're playing back-to-back games in Alaska, we'd be there," Johnson said. "We're ready to roll whenever they tell us to."
