--The Hawks continue to do a number on Heat star Dwyane Wade, who struggled against the Hawks' collapsing defense in the paint. Wade faced similar frustrations against the Hawks last season, both during the regular season and in their first-round playoff series. "It was a total team effort," forward Marvin Williams said. "There's not really one man that can do it. Joe Johnson did a great job on him when he was on him. Mo Evans came in and gave some solid minutes. When guys did guard him they locked in, but it was a total team effort."
--The Hawks' ravaged the Heat during a 28-8 second-quarter run with steals, easy baskets and plenty of energy plays that fed the sellout crowd on hand to watch this playoff rematch.
"The game is about leads and spurts," forward Josh Smith said. "When we get our spurt, we try to put a team away. Tonight we were able to get some stops, get our and run, and have a little bit of fun."
