Atlanta Hawks Notes, Quotes 2009-02-19
--Anyone wondering whether or not Al Horford was all the way back from a knee injury that cost him most of January needed only see him work the glass Wednesday night.

Horford piled up 18 rebounds against the Kings, working overtime to establish himself as the most dominant presence inside on the floor.

"Big Al had it going out there (Wednesday night)," Hawks swingman Marvin Williams said. "When he's working like that, we're hard to deal with."

It was a huge bounce back performance from the Hawks' young center. The night before in Los Angeles Lamar Odom (20) and Pau Gasol (13) destroyed the Hawks on the glass, an affront Horford took personally.

He had 18 points and 18 rebounds, his eighth double-double of the season. And the Hawks are 8-0 in games that Horford doubles up.

--The Kings Mike Bibby once knew are officially no more. Wednesday's trade that sent Brad Miller to Chicago for Andres Nocioni and filler was the final move.

The only remnants of Bibby's era with the Kings are fond memories of a Western Conference powerhouse that never could get past the Lakers and into the NBA Finals.

"I was surprised," Bibby said of the deal. "John (Salmons, who was also sent to Chicago) was doing really well for them. Brad (Miller) is the last one to be here (of the old group). But they got one back. It is going to be funny to see Brad in a Chicago Bulls jersey and John too."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I said from the beginning that once we got this team in place that this is really a good year to take a wait-and-see approach to evaluate where we're at. So if we have to shuffle the deck or discard a card or whatever, then we'll do that, probably in the summer when we have ultimate flexibility." -- Hawks GM Rick Sund, on his approach to the trade deadline.
