--Coach Mike Woodson's latest attempt to jolt his team back to reality came before Friday morning's shoot-around practice. He called them into the locker room before they took the floor to make sure they understood exactly what had to be done going forward."I just wanted to clean up some things because I've noticed some slippage," Woodson said. "And this isn't the time to slip. We have to buckle down. I had to remind them what this was all about. This isn't about this coaching staff or ownership or anybody else. This is about 15 guys and the commitment they made to each other to come out this year and lock up that fourth spot and make sure they secured home-court advantage in the playoffs. And I'm holding them to that."
--Mike Woodson's talk didn't get through in time for Friday's first quarter. The Bobcats pounded the Hawks early, shooting a ridiculous 81 percent from the floor (17-for-21) in the first quarter on their way to a 36-21 lead. The Hawks didn't get back into the game until midway through the second quarter. But the Bobcats were still smoking then and led 59-50 at halftime.
