--Marvin Williams returned to the lineup Friday, but Mo Evans and Acie Law IV did not play against the Pacers. Evans had a death in his family and was out of town.Law, however, is back on the inactive list with back spasms. He's dealt with lower back pain for nearly a month now.
He missed eight straight games before playing six minutes in Tuesday's win in Toronto. He didn't play the next night in a win in Milwaukee and now it appears he'll be sidelined indefinitely.
"We've got to evaluate him and just kind of gauge where he is," Woodson said. "Only he knows how he's feeling. And obviously he's hurting. So I don't know what we're going to do, to be honest with you. We're just going to have to see how he progresses and go from there."
--Mario West got the starting nod with Evans out and Williams coming back after a long layoff.
He christened the occasion with his version of the Mohawk, a hairdo West said is more like the "Mo-Hawks."
"It's just that the time of year for me," West said with a smile. "We've got a lot more Hawks games to play. And I'm excited. And that's what the Mohawk is all about."
West had a dunk, two rebounds and an assist in his first six minutes of the game.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Words cannot describe how I feel. Personally for me, when I came into the league we won 13 games, and now being able to clinch he fourth spot is just special. Even last year, just making the playoffs, people were counting us out and saying we weren't going to make the playoffs this year. But we proved them wrong." -- Hawks forward Josh Smith on finally clinching the No. 4 seed.
