PLAYER NOTES: --C Al Horford fared well in his first head-up matchup against Elton Brand. Horford finished his night with nine points, seven rebounds and four assists. He also played solid defense against Brand, frustrating the one-time All-Star with his longer arms and tenacity on defense.
--F Marvin Williams never got his shot at redemption after an abysmal 0-for-5 shooting start from the floor. It was his first game back, though.
--G Flip Murray didn't need huge minutes to make his presence felt Saturday. He only had a few opportunities, but he made the most of them, including a late layup that helped seal the win. Murray's addition to the roster could go a long way toward determining who gets kept.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Speedy Claxton (hamstring) still hasn't rejoined the team fully for practice and doesn't appear destined for much action anytime soon.
