PLAYER NOTES: --G Joe Johnson didn't reach his league-leading scoring average (30 points) against the Hornets, but he did lead the way when the Hawks needed it most. His clutch baskets in the fourth quarter helped salt the game away for the Hawks.
--F Marvin Williams rebounded in a big way from his dreadful opener last week. He finished with 11 points and seven rebounds and also made all three of his three-point shots attempted.
--G Mo Evans took yet another shot to the face. He didn't need stitches this time -- he needed them twice during the preseason. But he's growing weary of being the target of errant elbows and forearms, which is due in large part to the aggressive defense he plays.
