Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2008-11-10

Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2008-11-10
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Guard Mario West, Guard Mo Evans, Guard Speedy Claxton, Forward Thomas Gardner, Forward Othello Hunter, Forward Solomon Jones, Forward/center Zaza Pachulia, Center Randolph Morris.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 25 points in the win over the Thunder but appeared to be moving slower than usual after the game. Johnson said he was fine. The Hawks better hope so. They are already playing without Josh Smith. They can't even think about playing without Johnson and maintaining their current momentum.

--C Randolph Morris appeared to carve out a niche for himself with some quality minutes Saturday night in the win over the Raptors. But he didn't make an appearance against the Thunder. Perhaps Hawks coach Mike Woodson is saving him for the Tuesday's game against Chicago and their squadron of big men.

--G Mike Bibby was the early aggressor for the Hawks, scoring 10 of his 13 points before halftime against the Thunder. Bibby has done a masterful job picking and choosing his spots this season to be aggressive on offense. He deferred to the others in the second half and operated as the facilitator to help the Hawks secure the win.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Josh Smith is out for two to four weeks (high ankle sprain) and could miss as many as 15 games. Smith is not with the team on this week's road trip. He stayed back in Atlanta for daily treatments on his left ankle.

Woodson said Smith's status hasn't changed since the initial report of two to four weeks. "Josh is usually pretty quick to heal," Woodson said. "It wouldn't surprise me to see him back in a couple of weeks. But right now, we just don't know.
