Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-01-03
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Guard Mario West, Guard Mo Evans, Guard Speedy Claxton, Forward Thomas Gardner, Forward Othello Hunter, Forward Solomon Jones, Forward/Center Zaza Pachulia, Center Randolph Morris.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Joe Johnson played the decoy role to perfection in the first half, piling up seven assists and helping the Hawks to that 20-point lead. But he finished the game with just nine, losing his aggressive edge in the second half as his fouls piled up trying to keep up with Devin Harris.

--C Zaza Pachulia saw the power go out on his night in the second half as well. After being a huge factor in the first half with six rebounds and four points, Pachulia missed four straight free throws in the third quarter that started the Hawks 9-for-15 slide from the foul line.

--G Acie Law IV might have been the only player on the Hawks roster capable of slowing Devin Harris down. But no one will know if he can do it or not because Law never seems to leave the bench for anything other than timeouts. This is the third time the Hawks have been torched by Harris and the third time Law hasn't been used to try and limit his effectiveness.
