Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-01-12
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Guard Mario West, Guard Mo Evans, Guard Speedy Claxton, Forward Thomas Gardner, Forward Othello Hunter, Forward Solomon Jones, Forward/center Zaza Pachulia, Center Randolph Morris.

--G Mike Bibby chipped in with 22 points and eight assists but the Hawks needed more than what he could provide against a stellar effort from the Philadelphia frontcourt. Bibby continues to play at a high level on the offensive end and he's distributing the ball just fine. He might have to do even more to help the Hawks out of their current hole.

--G Joe Johnson torched the 76ers for 25 points and nine assists but you'd have never known he played that well by his demeanor after the game. Johnson's pained look was a throwback to the looks he regularly displayed during his first two seasons, when the Hawks were routinely on the losing end. When his spirits sag, the Hawks as a whole seem to follow that lead.

--F Marvin Williams continues to play through the pain associated with a left shoulder strain suffered just before Christmas. With Al Horford out, the Hawks can't afford to lose anyone else, particularly a starter. So Williams will have to keep playing without being the picture of health.

--C Al Horford is out indefinitely with a bone bruise in his right knee.

--G Speedy Claxton remains on the inactive list with a hamstring injury and doesn't appear to be in the Hawks' plans anytime soon.
