Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-01-14

Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-01-14
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Guard Mario West, Guard Mo Evans, Guard Speedy Claxton, Forward Thomas Gardner, Forward Othello Hunter, Forward Solomon Jones, Forward/Center Zaza Pachulia, Center Randolph Morris.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Flip Murray played huge minutes off the bench for the Hawks in the loss to the Suns. None were bigger than the time he spent shredding the Suns' defense in the second quarter, when he scored 10 points to help engineer the Hawks' rally from an early 19-point deficit.

--G Joe Johnson struggled against his old team once again, shooting just 4-for-21 from the floor against the Suns. Johnson entered Tuesday's game averaging just 12 points in his last two outings against the team that traded him to Atlanta three years ago.

--C Randolph Morris finally used his 270 pounds to his benefit. He played extensively in the fourth quarter of the Tuesday's game, doing his very best to try and help thwart the effort of Suns' superstar Shaquille O'Neal. He held his own and finally got a chance to prove that he could contribute if given minutes.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--C Al Horford is out indefinitely with a bone bruise in his right knee.
