Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-01-26

Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-01-26
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Guard Mario West, Guard Mo Evans, Guard Speedy Claxton, Forward Thomas Gardner, Forward Othello Hunter, Forward Solomon Jones, Forward/center Zaza Pachulia, Center Randolph Morris.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Acie Law IV was healthy and back in uniform for Sunday's game after missing two games with a right quad contusion. But just because Law is back in uniform doesn't mean he's going to see the floor. Even with Mike Bibby struggling with his shot for the first time in weeks, Hawks coach Mike Woodson opted to go with Flip Murray rather than Law.

--F Marvin Williams joined with Smith to battle the Suns blow for blow inside but it still wasn't enough. Williams, however, is progressing nicely after missing two games with concussion symptoms. The Hawks will need a boost from him against Miami Monday.

--G Flip Murray and Mo Evans turned in big nights off the bench for the second straight game. The only problem for the Hawks is that they weren't on the floor during crunch time, giving way to Bibby and Johnson with the game on the line. They'll both need to be ready for some more heavy lifting against the Heat.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--C Al Horford is out day-to-day with a bone bruise in his right knee.

--G Speedy Claxton remains on the inactive list with a hamstring injury and doesn't appear to be in the Hawks' plans anytime soon.
