PLAYER NOTES: --G Acie Law gave the Hawks 11 huge minutes in the first half against the Nets, providing the bigger defender needed against Devin Harris and a new wrinkle in a three-guard lineup with Joe Johnson and Mike Bibby.
--F Josh Smith forgot to respect the opposition Friday night, getting thoroughly outplayed by Nets rookie Ryan Anderson. It's one of Smith's fatal flaws. He seems to ease up in games where he thinks the guy he's playing isn't his equal or better.
--F Marvin Williams was all over the place against the Nets on both ends of the floor, making up for the less than stellar showing from both Josh Smith and Zaza Pachulia. It was the kind of yeoman's effort Williams has become known for this season, where he's swung between a much-needed scorer and an auxiliary role player.
