PLAYER NOTES: --G Acie Law IV missed two days of practice to be at the side of his ailing grandfather in Texas but made his way to Minnesota for Wednesday's game. Law's grandfather is terminally ill (cancer) and the toll the illness has taken on the second-year point guard has been obvious.
--C Zaza Pachulia resumed his spot on the Hawks' second unit and appeared to ease back into his rotations slot with ease. He's been better all year off the bench but was forced into a starting role with C Al Horford out for 12 games with a bone bruise in his knee. Now that things are back to normal, Pachulia gets back to wrecking teams off the bench.
--F Marvin Williams was the offensive spark the Hawks needed early Wednesday night. He had 14 points by halftime. If the Hawks have any player that can score both inside and out, the same fashion Joe Johnson works in, it's Williams. While he hasn't been the threat from long distance that he was earlier in the season, teams know he is capable.
