Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-02-07
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Mo Evans, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Forward Solomon Jones, Center Zaza Pachulia.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Mo Evans filled in admirably for Joe Johnson against the Bobcats. He even scored like Johnson Friday night, torching the Bobcats for 19 points through the first three quarters on 6-for-9 shooting from the floor. If only he could find that range (and playing time) on a regular basis.

--C Zaza Pachulia didn't help the Hawks' cause like normal Friday night. He played like he was intimidated by Bobcats' shot-blockers Emeka Okafor and DeSagana Diop. They both took turns altering his shots around the basket. If Pachulia doesn't finish strong around the rim, he negates what is arguably his greatest asset (his size).

--F Josh Smith let his offensive struggles early hamper the rest of his game against the Bobcats. He had just two rebounds entering the fourth quarter, an unacceptable figure with Boris Diaw as the primary defender on him for almost the entire game. Smith has to find ways to rebound even when his shots aren't falling.
