Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-03-27
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Mo Evans, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Mario West, Forward/Center Zaza Pachulia.

--G Flip Murray, who brought the Hawks back early in the game, was one of the only players able to stay in front of Tony Parker consistently, and yet Woodson served as the best defense against his mercurial sixth man. He took Murray out at a crucial point in the fourth quarter and didn't play him again.

--F Josh Smith struggled mightily shooting the ball against the Spurs and it scrambled his entire night. Smith was so concerned about making shots that he remained a step slow on both ends of the floor the entire night. His inattention to detail was critical to the Hawks getting outworked inside and out.

--G Mario West was another part of the Hawks' best stretch of defense against Tony Parker and served his purpose as the team's walking jolt of energy. And yet he too was benched. He didn't see the floor in the second half after playing so well before halftime. It was another curious decision by Woodson.

--F Marvin Williams is out indefinitely with a lower back injury.
