Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-05-07

Atlanta Hawks Roster Report 2009-05-07
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mike Bibby, Shooting guard Joe Johnson, Small forward Marvin Williams, Power forward Josh Smith, Center Al Horford. Bench -- Guard Flip Murray, Guard Acie Law IV, Guard Mario West, Guard Mo Evans, Guard Speedy Claxton, Forward Thomas Gardner, Forward Othello Hunter, Forward Solomon Jones, Forward/center Zaza Pachulia, Center Randolph Morris.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Flip Murray played nearly 32 minutes and took just nine shots, making two. That's not nearly enough aggressiveness from a player the Hawks rely on to initiate offense for the second unit.

--C Al Horford didn't fare any better against Cleveland than he did against Miami. He scored just four points and grabbed eight rebounds, barely leaving a carbon footprint in a game where the Hawks needed him to do much more.

--F Marvin Williams didn't reach the 20-minute limit Hawks coach Mike Woodson set for him before the game, but it had as much to do with his erratic play as it did with anything else. Williams plowed over defenders, struggled handling the ball and never appeared terribly comfortable on the floor after playing so little in the last series.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Marvin Williams is playing with his sore right wrist.

--C Al Horford sprained his right ankle in Game 1 and will be a gametime decision Thursday.
