ATLANTA (AP) - X-rays of the left thumb of Atlanta guard Mike Bibby showed no damage after he left the Hawks' 115-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night."I think he's going to be fine," Atlanta coach Mike Woodson said. "We'll treat him tomorrow, and I'm sure he'll be ready to go on Friday (against Chicago)."
Bibby, who left Philips Arena without speaking to reporters, missed Sacramento's first 36 games this season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in the thumb.
The nine-year veteran was driving to the basket in the third quarter when a Milwaukee defender swiped at the ball and hit his thumb.
After missing a 3-point attempt on the first possession of the fourth, Bibby walked to the locker room and didn't return to the bench. He scored 16 points and had three assists.
The Hawks traded four players and a draft pick to Sacramento to acquire Bibby last month. In 22 games with Atlanta, Bibby has averaged 13.4 points and 6.4 assists.
